Children enjoy a free pony ride most mornings, as suits guests and proprietors.  We are happy to supervise the children during this time, if the rest of the family would like a sleep in or leisurely breakfast. All rides are hand led on grass, Pippin is capable of carrying up to 45kg, she is getting on at 29 years old so she is great for smaller children . I am currently training Bailey our larger Mountain Welsh pony for bigger children, teenagers and light weight adults! Rides start at 8.30 am and depending on how many children are here,  finish around 10 am,  however we will do it in the afternoons if guests are busy or the weather decides for us.

While we ask that guests don't enter the pony enclosures unsupervised, the horse and ponies freely wander up to the fences to say hello, and really enjoy carrots and apples.  Just a couple of pieces each is great, or they can become like children on lollies!  We have two riding ponies, Pippin our bomb proof and amazingly well behaved old girl, who is great for young or special needs children and Bailey our welsh Mountain Pony can carry up to 80kgs. We also have 2 miniature ponies Chelsea and Saphy.

After pony rides, guests and especially children will join us in feeding the chooks, collecting eggs and from Summer 2017 we have little pigs to feed. These little piggies are very vocal for their breakfast, they would enjoy any food scraps from your kitchen and we intend to use them as piggy tractors to establish permaculture gardens around Billa Billa.

Lambing occurs in July, so this is a yearly winter treat. Calves are born in Summer . the cows belong to my older brother and his wife, occasionally they have to hand raise one and share it with guests. There are also rabbits  in cages up at the cottages, which children can adopt and interact with at their leisure.   There is indoor cages available, so that they can be kept on the veranda during rainy weather.  They also love carrots and lettuce.

Dairy visits and sheep shearing demonstrations can be arranged for visiting groups. We are also happy to take international visitors on a kangaroo cruise, just before sunset we will take you to the main kangaroo grazing areas where we often get 50 - 60 kangaroos and if we get lucky wild emus will also be visiting!
